BY ENTERING THIS CONTEST, YOU AGREE TO THE FRITO-LAY PRIVACY POLICY, AVAILABLE AT THE CONTEST WEB SITE AND http://frito-lay.com/fl/flstore/cgi-bin/privacypolicy.htm THAT YOUR ENTRY AND THE PERSONAL INFORMATION COLLECTED FROM YOU IN CONNECTION WITH THIS CONTEST WILL BE SHARED WITH THE SPONSOR, FRITO-LAY, INC. ("SPONSOR").

OPEN ONLY TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE 50 UNITED STATES AND THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA (COLLECTIVELY, THE "ELIGIBILITY AREA") WHO ARE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER AND LOCATED IN THE ELIGIBILITY AREA AT THE TIME OF ENTRY. DO NOT ENTER IF YOU ARE NOT LOCATED IN THE ELIGIBILITY AREA AT THE TIME OF ENTRY. VOID ELSEWHERE AND WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. SEE BELOW FOR ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS.


1. ELIGIBILITY: Open only to individuals who are legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, 18 years of age or older as of 5/12/08. Employees, contractors, directors and officers of Frito-Lay, Inc. (""Sponsor"), and its parent, subsidiaries, and affiliated companies, distributors, web design, advertising, fulfillment, judging and Contest agencies involved in the administration, development, fulfillment and execution of this Contest (collectively, "Contest Parties"), and the immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling and spouse or "step" of each) and those living in the same households (those persons whether related or not who live in the same residence for at least three months during the twelve-month period preceding the start date of the Contest) of each such employee, contractor, director or officer are not eligible.

2. CONTEST SCHEDULE: The Contest begins at 12:01:00 am Central Time ("CT") on 5/12/08 and ends 11:59:59 pm CT on 6/28/08 ("Contest Period"). There will be a total of four (4) Puzzle Release Periods during the Contest Period. In order to advance to the Puzzle Release Period 4, you must successfully complete all puzzles released during Periods 1-3. The Puzzle Release Periods are as follows: Puzzle Release Period 1: 12:01:00 am CT on 5/12/08 to 11:59:59 pm CT on 5/25/08; Puzzle Release Period 2: 12:01:00 am CT on 5/26/08 to 11:59:59 pm CT on 6/8/08; Puzzle Release Period 3: 12:01:00 am CT on 6/9/08 to 11:59:59 pm CT on 6/15/08; and Puzzle Release Period 4: 12:01:00 am CT on 6/16/08 and end at 11:59:59 pm CT on 6/28/08.

3. TO PARTICIPATE: To participate in the Contest, go to http://www.snackstrongproductions.com during the Contest Period. Review these Official Rules, check the box indicating that you accept these Rules, follow and complete the required registration fields and click "Submit." At the beginning of each Puzzle Release Period a series of puzzles will be released. Entrants will be required to solve each of the puzzles for a Puzzle Release Period in the order of their release to advance and have the opportunity to solve the series of puzzles for the next Puzzle Release Period. Each Period will have a different number of puzzles. Puzzle Release Period 1: Five (5) puzzles; Puzzle Release Period 2: Five (5) puzzles; Puzzle Release Period 3: Five (5) puzzles; Puzzle Release Period 4: One (1) puzzle. You are not required to solve the puzzles during the dates associated with each Release Period, but you must have successfully completed each of the puzzles in Periods 1-3 prior to the start of Puzzle Release Period 4. The first three (3) Entrants who successfully complete all of the puzzles released in the Puzzle Release Period 4 (based on completion time and date) will be the potential Contest Finalists. Entrants will have only one (1) chance to submit their solutions for the final puzzles of the Contest. Once an Entrant clicks "submit" he/she cannot participate further in the Puzzle Release Period 4. The decisions of Sponsor and the official judging organization are final in all matters. Sponsor's designated official judging organization's computer is the official time keeping device for this Contest.

4. PRIZES: Three (3) Finalist Prizes: Each Contest Finalist will receive a trip to a city within the US, where the Finalist will compete in the Final Competition (described below) to determine the Grand Prize Winner. Finalist Prize will consist of round trip coach air transportation (from major commercial airport nearest Finalist's U.S. residence, to be determined by Sponsor in Sponsor's sole discretion), standard hotel accommodations (one room, single occupancy) for three (3) days/two (2) nights, $250 awarded in the form of a gift card and ground transportation to/from airport, hotel and scheduled Final Competition events. Gift Card subject to terms and conditions set by issuer. Finalists (or Designee described below) must be able to travel July 15, 2008 – July 18, 2008 and take trip as stated, or prize, including the opportunity to compete for the Grand Prize, will be forfeited. Failure to comply may result in prize forfeiture in whole, and selection of an alternate Finalist. Travel/accommodations are subject to change, and restrictions may apply. Any expenses associated with the Prize not expressly specified herein are solely the Finalist's responsibility. Finalist must have a valid U.S. driver's license or other government issued ID for travel. Actual value of Prize will vary based on city, date and time of departure. The difference between any stated prize value and actual prize value will not be awarded. Approximate Retail Value ("ARV") $5,000.00 each. One (1) Grand Prize: Doritos "THE QUEST ARTIFACT" (awarded in the form of jeweled treasure) with an approximate retail value of $100,000 (value as of 5/8/2008) or $100,000 cash. If $100,000 cash prize is selected, prize will be awarded a via wire transfer to the winner's bank account. No other form of payment will be offered. No responsibility is assumed by Sponsor for cancelled, delayed, suspended or rescheduled events beyond their control. In the event a scheduled Final Competition event is delayed due to weather or any other reason, Sponsor will cover all costs associated with extending the Finalists' stay to fully complete the Final Competition. Total ARV of the prizes awarded is $115,000.00.

5. THE FINAL COMPETITION: The Final Competition will consist of a series of events and stunts that will test the puzzle solving ability and physical and mental stamina of the Finalists. Finalist Competition events may include rigorous physical activities such as running, jumping, swimming and/or climbing. Determination of the events, dates and times of the Finalist Competition shall be at the Sponsor's sole discretion. Official Rules for the Finalist Competition will be provided to Finalists upon arrival. Finalist must be in good physical condition and able to partake in rigorous physical activities, or may appoint an authorized Designee to travel to and complete on his or her behalf in the Final Competition. Finalists may be required to undergo a medical examination prior to participating in the Final Competition and must be cleared for participation by Sponsor and Sponsor's Insurance representatives. To compete in the Final Competition, Finalists must meet weight requirements due to equipment limitations. In the event Finalist is unable to participate in the Final Competition due to physical or medical concerns, Finalist may appoint an authorized "Designee" to participate on behalf of such Finalist in the Final Competition. In the event Finalist selects to appoint a "Designee" to participate on their behalf, Designee must meet the eligibility requirements stated herein (hereinafter referred to as "Designee"). Appointment of a Designee must be approved in writing in advance (prior to any travel dates) by Sponsor. Designee must meet all Contest eligibility requirements and must sign and return all required travel releases and other documentation as requested by Sponsor for receipt on or before the due date specified in the documents to be approved by Sponsor to serve as Designee. Once confirmed in writing, a Finalist's decision to appoint a particular Designee, is final and cannot be withdrawn or changed. Once a Designee has been verified, that Designee will travel to and participate in all of the Final Competition events on behalf of Finalist. No other person aside from a verified Finalist or his/her Designee will be deemed eligible to participate in the Grand Prize Final Competition. A Designee is participating solely on behalf of the Finalist and will not be participating on his/her own account or for his/her own benefit. As such, Designee will not be deemed eligible by Sponsor as a Grand Prize Winner as a result of Designee's participation in the Final Competition. Sponsor shall have no liability to any Designee for any prize as a result of Designee's participation in the Final Competition. Sponsor shall have no liability to any Finalist with respect to any decisions or actions made or taken by his/her Designee in connection with the Final Competition. Failure of Finalist and/or their Designee to attend or participate in the Final Competition and/or failure to report at the designated times and place will result in forfeiture of the opportunity for the Finalist and/or their Designee to participate in the Final Competition and their chance of winning the Grand Prize. If less than three (3) Finalists are present and available to compete at the designated time and date set by the Sponsor, then the number of Finalists who are in attendance shall participate in the Final Competition. If only one (1) Finalist is present at the designated time and date set by the Sponsor, then that Finalist will need to successfully complete all of the scheduled events in order to be declared the Official Grand Prize Winner. In the event of a tie, the tied Finalist who was first to submit solutions in the Final Puzzle Phase will be deemed to be the winner. The Final Competition will be taped and may be broadcast via the internet, on television or in any other medium, at the Sponsor's sole discretion. As a condition of being a Finalist and competing in the Final Competition, Finalist and/or his or her Designee (if applicable) grant Sponsor and its agents all rights necessary to use and publish his/her name, likeness (photographic or simulated), and voice in connection with advertising, marketing, promotional and publicity purposes related to the Contest, in any and all media now or hereafter devised, worldwide in perpetuity, without any form of notice or any amount or kind of compensation or approval. Finalist and his/her Designee (if applicable) must further agree to participate in on-camera interviews regarding the Final Competition and participation in the Contest.

6. GENERAL CONDITIONS: All Entrants must have a valid e-mail address. Finalists and the Grand Prize Winner are solely responsible for any taxes on their respective prizes, and will receive an IRS Form 1099 for the value of their prize. No substitution of prize is offered, except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Prizes are non-transferable. By participating, Entrants agree to these Official Rules, including if applicable the official rules for the Final Competition, which are final and binding in all respects. Finalists will be notified by phone and must respond within twenty-four (24) hours to confirm to accept prize and confirm their availability. Finalists will be required to complete, sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability Release & Publicity Release (except where prohibited) within three (3) days in order to be qualified as an Official Finalist. If required documents are not returned within the required time, Finalist Prize and the opportunity to compete for the Grand Prize will be forfeited and an alternate may be selected. If a prize, or any portion thereof, cannot be awarded for any reason, Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prize with another prize of equal or greater value. If for any reason the Contest is not capable of running as planned, including without limitation, infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Contest, Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion to cancel, modify or terminate the Contest. Further, Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual deemed to be (a) tampering or attempting to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or any Sponsor website; (b) violating the Official Rules; (c) violating the terms of service, conditions of use and/or general rules or guidelines of any property or service, or (d) acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. Sponsor reserves the right to require a potential Finalist to submit to a confidential background check to confirm eligibility and help ensure that the use of any such person in advertising or publicity for the Contest will not bring Sponsor into public disrepute, contempt, scandal or ridicule or reflect unfavorably on the Contest as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. This Contest is offered only in the United States and is governed by the laws of the state of Texas. All claims relating in any manner to this Contest or to any Submission must be resolved in the federal or state courts located in Collin County, Texas.

7. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY AND RELEASE: No liability or responsibility is assumed by Sponsor or Contest Parties resulting from Entrant's participation in or attempt to participate in the Contest or ability or inability to upload or download any information in connection with participating in the Contest. No responsibility or liability is assumed by the Sponsor or the Contest Parties for technical problems or technical malfunction arising in connection with any of the following occurrences which may affect the operation of the Contest: hardware or software errors; faulty computer, telephone, cable, satellite, network, electronic, wireless or Internet connectivity or other online communication problems; errors or limitations of any Internet service providers, servers, hosts or providers; garbled, jumbled or faulty data transmissions; failure of any e-mail transmissions to be sent or received; lost, late, delayed or intercepted e-mail transmissions; inaccessibility of the Web Site in whole or in part for any reason; traffic congestion on the Internet or the Web Site; unauthorized human or non-human intervention of the operation of the Contest, including without limitation, unauthorized tampering, hacking, theft, virus, bugs, worms; or destruction of any aspect of the Contest, or loss, miscount, misdirection, inaccessibility or unavailability of an email account used in connection with the Contest. Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical errors in the announcement of prizes or these Official Rules, or any inaccurate or incorrect data contained on the Web Site. Use of Web Site is at user's own risk. Sponsor and Contest Parties are not responsible for any personal injury or property damage or losses of any kind which may be sustained to user's or any other person's computer equipment resulting from participation in the Contest, use of the Web Site or the download of any information from the Web Site. By participating in the Contest, the Entrant releases Sponsor and Contest Parties from any and all claims, damages or liabilities arising from or relating to such Entrant's participation in the Contest. By accepting a prize in the Contest, winner agrees that the Sponsor and Contest Parties shall not be liable for any loss or injury or death resulting from participation in the Contest, acceptance or use of any prize, or any travel related thereto. Sponsor is not liable in the event that any portion of the Contest is cancelled due to weather, fire, strike, acts of war or terrorism, or any other condition beyond their control (a "Force Majeure Event"). By participating in the Final Competition, Finalist assumes all risk associated with participation in all events during the Final Competition that may be dangerous. By agreeing to participate in the Final Competition, Finalist acknowledges that they are participating in the Final Competition freely and with a full understanding of the risks involved. Entrant agrees that Sponsor will be in no way responsible for any injury, sdisfigurement or death associated with participation in the Final Competition.

8. WINNERS LIST REQUEST: For the names of the Finalists and Grand Prize Winner, send your request with a self-addressed, stamped envelope (VT residents may omit return postage) postmarked for receipt by July 31, 2008 to: DORITOS® Brand "The Quest" Contest, P.O. Box 750596 El Paso, TX 88575-0596.
